The 2nd Coventry Astronomy Show will take place on Saturday 17th March....
Astronomy Tuition and Ernesford Grange Community School are joining forces once again to bring you the Coventry Astronomy Show 2012 and prior to the main event we are also running several smaller events which we’d like to invite you to join us for.
Geminids Meteor Watch: Wednesday 14th December 2011; 18:00 – 21:00
A 1 hour talk ‘Make a Wish’ followed by a 2 hour observing session (or inclement weather alternative) focusing upon the constellations and Geminids Meteors – suitable for the general public of all ages.
BBC Stargazing Live Event: Tuesday 17th January 2012; 18:00 – 21:00
A 1 hour talk ‘Cosmic Cities’; looking at galaxies in the Universe, followed by a 2 hour observing session (or inclement weather alternative) focusing upon the constellations, the Andromeda Galaxy and Jupiter – suitable for the general public of all ages.
Planets Galore!: Monday 27th February 2012; 18:00 – 21:00
A 1 hour talk ‘Our Local neighbourhood in Space’ followed by a 2 hour observing session (or inclement weather alternative) focusing upon the constellations, Venus, Mars and Jupiter – suitable for the general public of all ages.
The 2nd Coventry Astronomy Show: Saturday 17th March; 12:00 – 21:00
The culmination of the Astronomy Show is open to absolutely every one of all ages and abilities. With several highly professional speakers, workshops for beginners and younger participants and a digital planetarium you're sure to be kept busy until dark when (weather permitting) an array of different telescopes will be turned to the skies.
